Daughters of Promise is a vibrant community of women committed to growing in faith, walking in purpose, and embracing the promises of GOD. We believe every woman is chosen, called, and crowned with strength and dignity.

Meet Our Pastor
Senior Pastor Kelvin Bryant
Kelvin Bryant is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and a proud father of three. He is the grandfather of five.
He is the Founding and Senior Pastor of The Word Church in Birmingham, Alabama
Kelvin Bryant is the Bishop-Designate of Rehoboth Fellowship International, under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Brian Keith Hodges.
He also serves as First Assistant to the Alabama State Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, under State Bishop Jonathan Woods.
Kelvin Bryant received his Bachelor of Arts from Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College, a Master of Divinity from Andersonville Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian University.
He is a proud member of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Faternity, Inc.
He is considered one of the most relevant preacher-teachers in the region, with a unique ability to reach deep into the text of the Holy Canon and make it applicable and practical for everyday life an ability that is second to none.
He is a genuine, down-to-earth leader with a heart for God’s people. His life motto can be summed up in four simple words: “ Sowing where I’m going”
